To understand your company it is vital to manage your small business accounts properly.
It is easy to understand why companies employ under qualified staff to enter the figures onto the accounts but they cannot be expected to understand the output of the figures or importance of them.
Many of us open the bonnet of our car and check the water level, maybe add oil or change a windscreen wiper, doing these jobs regularly may actually help the car run efficiently. Does this make us a mechanic or have the knowledge to understand why this is important to the car. Would we trust ourselves to change the brakes or would we know our limits refer to a qualified mechanic?
Bookkeeping is entering the information which is used to produce the accounts. Many companies we work with either require a full book-keeping service or employ there own staff to perform "data entry" level input ensuring higher level book-keeping is performed by a qualified bookkeeper.
