Cloud Online systems:

(For flexibility to work together)

Quickfile (1 company free)

Amazing how much this free online software can do including bank tagging

Quickfile Features:

Bank Tagging - extremely quick and efficient way to upload all your bank entries direct from your bank (or csv file).

** set up electronic payments - automatically update from Paypal; sagepay; worldpay & gocardless online account.

Upload customer & suppliers from csv

Adaptable invoice's - easily emailed to clients.

Ability to create a secure area for clients to log into own account area to see invoices and pay them.

Allows you to create more than one bank account

VAT return submission

Upload your receipts for safe keeping

Option to request copy back up via email.

Lots of user friendly demos & help areas

"Whilst the bank tagging is a brilliant feature it is not a full bank reconciliation and can lead to confusion which items agree to the bank.   Whilst bank tagging to suppliers you do not have the option to enter invoice date against supplier invoice's which may effect your VAT on accrual basis, no problem for cash accounting VAT though!

I really like quickfile and believe it has great features to support companies where their accounts are managed highly through the bank items."

MyBrightbook (free)

Again an amazing free online cloud system

Mybrightbook features:

Easily upload customer and supplier invoices and payments.  Ability to import customer & supplier information from Vcard (not csv)

Great import feature for uploading bank statement information (QIF or  OFX only).

Set additional nominal codes for payments (bill types)

Adaptable Invoices and statements, email directly to your client.

Invite more than one user with ability to block areas you do not want them to see

Ability to attach receipts to supplier invoices

VAT calculation - does not appear to allow VAT submission direct

Unlimited invoice's Clients and Bills

"Whilst the uploading of bank is brilliant feature I couldnt find a way of setting more than one bank account and it is easy to enter twice, once via the upload and once direct to customer/supplier.

Suitable for the small business including self employed with one bank account, preferably non vat registered."

CBK Ltd have spent the last few months looking through and trying out the online systems.  I have been impressed with the free systems Quickfile and Mybrightbook both having impressive upload features and updates continually happening.  They both however are suitable to a level of company and I have tried to give an overview below.  I was impressed with the Sage One which I have ignored until now, whilst it takes a little time adjusting for the Sage user it does have very good user friendly features and I do feel it is worth the £10 a month.
